WordPress Developer (Elementor, PHP, Site Speed Optimization)

hirify.global is hiring for a candidate sourcing department supporting website development and optimization work.

What you will do

• Build and customize WordPress websites, landing pages, blogs, and marketing pages using Elementor, Divi, and WPBakery.
• Develop child themes, custom templates, and PHP-based plugin customizations.
• Convert Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD designs into pixel-perfect, responsive layouts with cross-browser, mobile, and WCAG accessibility support.
• Optimize site speed through caching, minification, lazy loading, CDN integration, and Core Web Vitals improvements using Lighthouse and GTmetrix.
• Manage WordPress, theme, and plugin updates, backups, recovery processes, and security tools including Wordfence and Sucuri.
• Troubleshoot bugs, resolve site issues, support CMS users, and collaborate with marketing, design, and content teams.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of WordPress development experience.
• Strong PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills.
• Experience with Elementor, Divi, or WPBakery and plugins such as WooCommerce, Yoast SEO, and Contact Form 7.
• Experience with cPanel, WP Engine, SiteGround, or Kinsta hosting platforms.
• Ability to debug independently, communicate clearly with non-technical teams, and work during U.S. client business hours, with flexibility for deployments and urgent fixes.

Nice to have

• WooCommerce store builds and customization.
• Custom plugin development and technical or on-page SEO knowledge.
• Git, version-control workflows, and CI/CD pipeline experience.
