Director of Engineering (Food Stabilization)

What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering projects from planning and scope definition through execution, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Set timelines, resource allocation, budgets, deliverables, quality standards, and risk mitigation plans.
• Provide technical direction and review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications using CAD tools.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the technical escalation point and collaborate with customers, vendors, leadership, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineers while managing performance, training, and career growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience covering hands-on engineering, project management, field, plant, or industrial work, and direct people management.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks and experience with design, manufacturing, or process systems.
• Experience with food, pharmaceutical, or related industry and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership, mentorship, coaching, accountability, and execution skills across multiple projects.
• Ability to balance demanding customers, active projects, and internal R&D priorities.
