Senior Director - Engineering Technical Authority (Drug Substance, Infrastructure, and Single-Use)

What you will do

• Provide enterprise technical leadership for Drug Substance systems, Single-Use systems, and selected infrastructure scopes across the global manufacturing network.
• Lead engineering organizations including subject matter experts, project engineers, Engineering Technical Leads, and network coordination teams.
• Set engineering strategies, standards, technical directions, and support models across projects, sites, and network initiatives.
• Shape project strategy, scope, technical options, and engineering engagement during front-end planning.
• Oversee engineering support across planning, design, construction, commissioning, qualification, and start-up for major capital projects.
• Coach engineering leaders, build organizational capability, and represent hirify.global with external firms, technical societies, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Engineering plus 5 years of engineering industry experience, or a Master's degree plus 9 years, or a Bachelor's degree plus 11 years.
• At least 5 years of direct people management or leadership experience directing teams, projects, programs, or resource allocation.
• Experience with biologics Drug Substance manufacturing facilities, process systems, manufacturing unit operations, and lifecycle technical support.
• Experience leading engineering organizations and capital project design and execution in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of capital project delivery, cGMP, building codes, pressure vessel codes, and applicable engineering standards.
• Strong executive presence, communication skills, financial acumen, and ability to influence senior stakeholders across complex organizations.

Nice to have

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant discipline with life science experience.
• Significant experience with Single-Use systems, including strategy, design, implementation, and lifecycle support.
• Experience leading leaders, subject matter expert teams, project engineering organizations, or matrixed technical resources.
• Knowledge of industry trends, technology developments, and emerging engineering practices.
