Director, Engineering Strategy

What you will do

• Set company-wide engineering strategy and technical standards for mechanical and electrical data center systems.
• Lead conceptual design, feasibility validation, design governance, and lifecycle oversight across electrical, mechanical, and substation projects.
• Oversee commissioning strategies, testing scripts, readiness protocols, design reviews, and technical sign-offs.
• Support project execution through site visits, MOP and CR reviews, issue resolution, and critical escalation management.
• Drive improvements in uptime, availability, resilience, and risk mitigation through operational feedback and post-mortem analysis.
• Evaluate new power, cooling, automation, and sustainable energy technologies while collaborating with procurement, delivery, sales engineering, customers, and technology partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in mission-critical infrastructure, data center design, engineering management, or platform development.
• Deep expertise in low- and medium-voltage power systems and mechanical infrastructure.
• Demonstrated leadership in commissioning oversight, technical governance, and issue resolution.
• Strong understanding of construction, operations, and lifecycle infrastructure planning.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
