Engineering Manager (Flow Control)

What you will do

• Lead the Shrewsbury Customer Order Engineering team and ensure timely, accurate execution of customer orders.
• Oversee customer specification reviews, bills of materials, engineering data, manufacturing drawings, and product configuration using 2D and 3D CAD tools.
• Guide conceptual engineering, material selection, design analysis, prototyping, testing, and product performance investigations.
• Develop engineering tools and improve workflows and methodologies in collaboration with local and global engineering teams.
• Collaborate with Product Management on product validation, certification compliance, and technical support for internal teams, customers, vendors, and suppliers.
• Mentor engineers and design staff, coordinate schedules, provide technical input across departments, and develop training materials for new technologies and products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in industrial manufacturing, automation, flow control, valves, actuators, or related industries.
• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams, including coaching, performance management, and talent development.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, engineering mechanics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of FEA, GD&T, statistical analysis, product validation, project management, communication, and cross-functional leadership.
