Location: Hybrid role based in Bedford Park, Illinois, US, with a minimum of 50% travel

Salary: $122,000–$135,000 per year, plus eligibility for incentive pay

What you will do

  • Implement regional health and safety programs and support field operations across multiple facilities.
  • Develop and maintain required process safety management plans and facility operating procedures, including machine-specific lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Lead EHS audits and support operations in resolving audit findings.
  • Serve as a contact for local, state, and federal health and safety agencies.
  • Participate in accident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and train operations managers on investigation practices.
  • Define health and safety metrics, monitor regulatory developments, and support cross-functional projects.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of health and safety oversight experience across multiple regional locations in a chemical or related company with warehousing and transportation fleet operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Thorough familiarity with OSHA requirements and state equivalents for chemical or related facilities.
  • Experience managing federal, state, and local regulatory compliance across multiple facilities and states.
  • Experience auditing facilities, addressing findings, managing OSHA recordkeeping, and tracking health and safety metrics.
  • Ability to develop health and safety training content and facilitate leader-led training and other learning programs.
