Staff Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: New York, New York, United States

Base pay: $202,500–$274,000 per year; the position may also include a cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable, maintainable, high-performing software for the Fintech Risk Platform using React, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Build risk and compliance capabilities, identify risks across the fintech ecosystem, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Develop AI-enhanced applications using GenAI concepts and frameworks.
• Build scalable data pipelines and models for risk data, and implement automation across fintech systems.
• Define metrics and create executive dashboards with product managers and analytics teams.
• Conduct A/B tests and experiments, interpret results, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of professional software development experience with React, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI concepts and frameworks such as OpenAI, GPT-3/4, SageMaker, or Bedrock.
• Advanced AWS knowledge and familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Expertise in Python, SQL, data visualization frameworks, statistical models, AI/ML techniques, and risk analytics.
• Experience collaborating across engineering, product, and analytics teams; risk and compliance experience in financial platforms is highly desirable.
