TL;DR
Staff Product Engineer (Python/React): Building generative AI products for accounting and finance professionals with an accent on backend-heavy architecture and end-to-end product ownership. Salary: $180,000–$250,000 base + bonuses + RSUs

What you will do
- Design and build Python/FastAPI services and APIs powering AI products.
- Contribute to the React/TypeScript frontend to implement feature UIs.
- Own complex, multi-month projects from initial idea through to launch.
- Build and ship real products end-to-end with a strong product mindset.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building web applications at scale.
- Deep expertise in Python backend (FastAPI, Flask, or Django).
- Comfort contributing to React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
- Must be based in or able to work hybrid in New York or Toronto.
- Proven 0-to-1 product experience and strong technical leadership instincts.
Nice to have
- AI-native product experience and exposure to LLM/prompt engineering.
- Background working in startups.
- Experience with cloud or event-driven architecture.
