Senior UX Designer (Retail)

Location: Onsite at the Bentonville Home Office, 1601 SE 10th St, Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and potential stock compensation.

What you will do

• Conduct interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiries to identify experience gaps and inform design strategies.
• Develop interaction designs, user journeys, prototypes, and detailed design specifications.
• Use data analysis, usability testing, and customer feedback to iterate and improve experiences.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals and communicate technical outcomes.
• Design seamless service experiences across discovery, scheduling, check-in, service delivery, payment, and follow-up.
• Build partnerships that support design implementation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or a related area, plus 3 years of relevant experience; or 5 years of relevant experience without the degree.
• Strong visual and interaction design skills with attention to detail and grounding in service design principles.
• Experience connecting digital, physical, and operational touchpoints in user experiences.
• Experience working in fast-moving product development environments, prototyping quickly, testing experiences, and refining releases.
• Experience using AI and agentic tools to explore, prototype, and build new experiences.

Nice to have

• Design certification, such as an IDEO U Foundations in Design Thinking certificate.
• Experience driving product development in a user experience area.
• Master’s degree in UI/UX design, interactive and visual design, product design, or a related area.
• Experience in retail, supply chain, ecommerce, or healthcare.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
