Senior User Interface Design Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Must live close to one of the designated U.S. IT locations: New York City, Louisville, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, Dallas/Frisco, Boston, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, or Charlotte.

Salary: $97,900–$133,500 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end design for assigned product verticals, from discovery through pixel-perfect delivery.
• Design information architecture, workflows, and interfaces for data-dense, human-in-the-loop clinical workflows.
• Contribute to design systems, reusable patterns, and scalable design standards.
• Present design recommendations, incorporate feedback, and align with product, engineering, and clinical stakeholders.
• Build high-fidelity interactive prototypes and contribute to the use of AI-assisted design tools.
• Plan and conduct qualitative user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on product design experience delivering digital products, web applications, or complex enterprise platforms from concept to launch.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Expert Figma skills, including auto-layout, tokens, component variables, and interactive prototyping.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, ambiguous requirements, and high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills for presenting design decisions and discussing technical constraints with engineers and stakeholders.
• Understanding of AI-driven in-product features, including latency handling, confidence scoring, and human-in-the-loop workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience designing in clinical, healthcare, health-tech, regulated, or other high-stakes environments.
• Experience designing interfaces for complex data pipelines, dynamic real-time data, or decision-support tools.
