Shift Supervisor - Day Shift (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: On-site in Dallas, Texas, based at the Lancaster, Texas terminal. Day shift runs from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM CT, with flexible start and end times, extended shifts of up to approximately 14 hours, weekends, holidays, and travel to remote or roadside locations as needed.

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end shifts for Vehicle Operators and Fleet Specialists across testing missions and commercial freight runs.
• Lead, coach, schedule, and develop Vehicle Operators, including performance management and corrective action.
• Enforce terminal and field safety standards, pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and compliance procedures.
• Assign personnel to vehicles based on qualifications, certification tiers, and Hours of Service.
• Monitor crew performance and fatigue, provide real-time coaching, and adjust assignments when required.
• Handle shift handoffs, incident response, terminal checks, and escalation of operational, mechanical, and technical issues.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in fleet operations, logistics, or transportation management.
• Leadership experience managing CDL operators or shift-based teams.
• Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA transportation regulations, including Hours of Service and commercial operator compliance.
• Proficiency with fleet management software, scheduling tools, and telematics platforms.
• Strong written communication, sound judgment under ambiguity, and the ability to make defensible decisions quickly.
• Willingness to work the specified on-site day shift, extended hours, weekends, holidays, and occasional remote-site or roadside travel.

Nice to have

• Active Class A CDL.
• Experience in an autonomous vehicle, technical, testing, shift-based, or 24/7 operations environment.
• Enhanced Inspection Protocol certification, CVSA inspection training, or experience with formal safety observations, audits, or incident investigations.
