Senior DevOps Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: County Cork, Ireland; hybrid for candidates within commuting distance of the Cork office and fully remote for candidates elsewhere in Ireland. Permanent residence in Ireland is required.

What you will do

• Design, build and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows with engineering teams.
• Manage Docker and Kubernetes workloads while improving scalability, resilience, performance and cost efficiency.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting and observability to support reliability and incident response.
• Troubleshoot production issues, improve infrastructure security, participate in architecture reviews and maintain operational documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering or a related role.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools, and CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash or similar scripting languages; hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of Linux, networking, cloud infrastructure, IAM, secrets management and least-privilege principles.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus or Grafana, plus strong troubleshooting skills.
• Permanent residence in Ireland is required. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-scale SaaS or cybersecurity platforms and production Kubernetes environments.
• Familiarity with multi-account or multi-region AWS architectures and Ansible.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management, infrastructure hardening, compliance automation, secrets management or privileged access management.
• AWS, Kubernetes or DevOps certifications.
• Experience supporting globally distributed production environments or follow-the-sun operations.
