What you will do

• Architect and manage the lifecycle of observability platforms including Elastic Cloud, Dynatrace, and Prometheus.
• Implement Terraform and GitOps practices to ensure scalable and automated infrastructure delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to define SLIs/SLOs and observability standards.
• Integrate observability tools into CI/CD pipelines for proactive incident detection.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on observability initiatives.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive reliability improvements through post-incident reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, CS, or related).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in SRE, observability, or platform engineering.
• Deep expertise in Elastic Cloud, Dynatrace, and Prometheus monitoring stacks.
• Strong experience with AWS services (EKS, EC2, S3) and streaming frameworks like Kafka.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python or Bash for automation.
• Must be based in or able to work from Galway, Ireland in a hybrid capacity.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenTelemetry or other open standards.
• Knowledge of cost optimization strategies for observability tooling.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA or ISO 27001.
