Senior Site Reliability Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote from the United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, or Spain; preference for these locations

Salary: €109,000–€128,000 annual base salary for Zone 2 (Non-US), plus equity

What you will do

• Build, operate, and evolve secure, reliable, and scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Improve observability so engineers can understand, debug, and operate production systems.
• Partner with engineering and security to strengthen cloud security and operational practices.
• Support vulnerability management, security testing, compliance initiatives, and audit readiness.
• Build automation and developer tooling that reduces manual work and improves the developer experience.
• Improve production incident preparation, response, and learning while using AI-assisted workflows.

Requirements

• Experience building and operating production systems in a modern cloud environment, ideally AWS.
• Knowledge of SRE and infrastructure practices, including infrastructure as code and containerized workloads.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, alerting, and production visibility.
• Experience or strong interest in cloud security, vulnerability management, application security, or related areas.
• Ability to automate repetitive work with code and comfort using at least one programming language.
• Interest in AI-assisted development and active use of modern AI tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, Datadog, Vanta, Socket, GitHub Actions, or Argo CD.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Neo4j, Snowflake, TypeScript, Node, or React.
