Senior Cloud Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)

Location: Hybrid in Galway, County Galway, Ireland

Salary: EUR 65,600–98,400 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, and improve production AWS infrastructure for customer-facing and business-critical Patient Care Systems applications.
• Manage AWS services including EC2, ELB, RDS, Security Groups, S3, CloudWatch, networking, storage, and cloud-native components.
• Develop repeatable Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration automation using Terraform and Ansible.
• Build and maintain secure, reliable, and observable CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and services.
• Use CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Dynatrace, and related tools to monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, and improve reliability.
• Provide technical guidance, review work, communicate risks, and coordinate cloud engineering activities across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related technology or engineering discipline focused on cloud infrastructure delivery.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or systems engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure, automation, operating systems, networking, storage, security, and observability.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration automation using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Experience analyzing complex issues across multiple systems and recommending technical or process improvements.

Nice to have

• Practical project management experience, including planning, coordination, delegation, and review of technical work.
• Hands-on experience with AWS environments, CI/CD pipelines, CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Dynatrace, incident management, and change management.
• A strong focus on automation, repeatability, testability, observability, and reversibility.
