Engineering Manager (Payments)

Location: Based out of hirify.global's headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with the option to telecommute from a home office anywhere in the United States.

Salary: At least $214,053 per year.

What you will do

• Modernize and direct engineering efforts for the Transactions and Payments domain.
• Deliver payment-centric APIs and enterprise integration solutions for digital experiences, customer care representatives, and financial advisors.
• Lead vendor decommissioning and digital migration initiatives.
• Contribute to product strategy, MVP scope definition, and roadmap planning.
• Define technology strategy, select the tech stack, design payment architecture, guide technical estimates, and manage product budgets.
• Establish product OKRs and departmental metrics while collaborating with digital, payment, cloud, and infrastructure teams and negotiating with vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience as a software engineer, analyst, or developer.
• At least 3 years of experience managing teams and delivering cross-functional products with cloud hosting.
• At least 5 years of experience with Java, J2EE design patterns, RESTful services, high-performing APIs, Spring Boot, Spring, MVC frameworks, microservices, and scalable web applications.
• At least 5 years of experience with CI/CD using SVN, Maven, and Jenkins; AWS infrastructure including EKS and EC2; and containerization and orchestration on AWS OpenShift.
• Experience with DynamoDB, Redis, Kafka, AWS Lambda, MongoDB, DocumentDB, Elasticsearch, mainframe data integration, front-end frameworks, code quality standards, and Agile delivery.
