Business Systems Analyst II (Business Analysis)

Location: Remote, Birmingham, Alabama

What you will do

• Conduct business process analysis, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit analysis.
• Define specifications for operating software applications and maintain or modify complex existing applications.
• Analyze proposed and existing systems, data-processing procedures, and related business requirements.
• Prepare charts, diagrams, program specifications, and coding logic flowcharts to support solution analysis.
• Encode, test, debug, and install operating programs in coordination with computer operations and user departments.
• Provide application support and participate in an on-call rotation after hours or on weekends when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with seven years of related experience, or a bachelor’s degree with three years of related experience.
• Working knowledge of systems and software development concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to research and analyze data, derive facts, solve problems, and manage priorities.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of applicable testing tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to plan, schedule, and execute multiple concurrent activities in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Banking or financial services industry experience.
• Application support and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with business intelligence tools.
• Familiarity with agile or waterfall methodologies.
