Software Engineer II (Go)

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and deliver backend features for search and merchandising products.
• Take technical ownership of Go microservices and independently manage features from requirements through deployment.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Design, QA, and DevOps to refine user stories and assess technical feasibility.
• Develop clean, idiomatic Go code and conduct thorough peer code reviews.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade production software while maintaining performance SLAs, high availability, and low latency.
• Partner with DevOps on cloud infrastructure and CI/CD deployment pipelines, and assist with onboarding junior engineers.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building and maintaining distributed, cloud-based, high-availability, and high-traffic systems.
• Production-grade Golang development experience.
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Milvus, ScyllaDB, MySQL, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Argo.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in ecommerce search and merchandising.
• Experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Gemini.
