Backend Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Shanghai, Beijing, or Shenzhen, China

What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features on schedule.
• Design, code, and unit-test backend services based on requirements and design documents.
• Develop and maintain distributed, robust, and scalable programs deployed to Kubernetes environments serving hundreds of millions of users.
• Participate in code reviews, share best practices, and improve the team's technical capabilities.
• Support and debug production issues through on-call rotations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of backend development experience.
• Deep expertise in at least one backend language: Golang, TypeScript, Python, or Java.
• Experience with SQL databases, including MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Strong experience with distributed systems, REST APIs, and backend microservices.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, with strong coding practices.
• Excellent communication, independent problem-solving, and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Nice to have

• Open-source contribution experience.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, and cloud-native tooling.
