Senior Backend Engineer (Go)

Location: Fully remote within US time zones from Pacific through Eastern, including Canada and other regions

hirify.global develops a SaaS GitOps platform that helps DevOps and Platform Engineering teams manage software delivery across large-scale Kubernetes environments using Argo CD and Kargo.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and continuously improve the hirify.global SaaS platform.
• Develop scalable server-side services in Go.
• Build tools and features that simplify infrastructure operations for developers, partners, and customers.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers throughout product development and delivery.
• Help keep the platform scalable as it grows across multi-region and multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.
• Mentor team members on engineering best practices and contribute to developer experience initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience building scalable web applications with Go.
• Experience building Kubernetes controllers or operators at scale in AWS, GCP, Azure, or on-premises environments.
• Deep knowledge of systems design, API design, and infrastructure.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and interest in developer experience.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Must live within US time zones from Pacific through Eastern, including Canada and other regions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Argo CD, Kargo, or GitOps-based delivery workflows.
• Familiarity with multi-region, multi-cluster Kubernetes deployments.
• Experience with compliance-related infrastructure, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 28000:2022, HIPAA, or PCI DSS.
• Background operating infrastructure for platform or developer tooling companies.
