Senior Technical Consultant (Auth0)

Location: Remote, with listed locations in Bellevue, Washington; Chicago, Illinois; New York, New York; San Francisco, California; and Toronto, Ontario. Travel to customer sites is required 25% of the time.

Annual OTE: $176,000–$242,000 USD for candidates in California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington; additional ranges are listed for other US locations and Canada.

What you will do

• Deliver hands-on post-sales consulting, technical design, configuration, troubleshooting, and deployment services for Auth0 customers.
• Gather, analyze, and document customer requirements while managing project scope, schedules, status, and documentation across multiple concurrent deployments.
• Design identity federation and access-control solutions using OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0, and WS-Federation.
• Collaborate with customers, partners, Sales, Engineering, Support, Product Management, and Customer Success to resolve escalations and support long-term adoption.
• Train and mentor customers and less experienced team members, and contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes and standard methodologies.
• Identify opportunities for new offerings, customer success improvements, and existing-customer expansion.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a technical consultant delivering solutions to external customers.
• At least 3 years of experience with JavaScript and a major JavaScript framework such as Backbone, Angular, Ember, React, or Node.
• Experience designing and implementing security and identity-management solutions for critical systems, including enterprise identity lifecycle processes and standards.
• Knowledge of enterprise web technologies, security, cloud architectures, and complex on-premise IT environments.
• Strong communication, issue-triage, crisis-management, presentation, and customer-expectation-management skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• Auth0 implementation experience and Node runtime experience.
• Software development experience with Java, .NET, Go, C#, Flutter, PHP, or similar technologies.
• Mobile development experience with iOS or Android.
