Bilingual Medical Receptionist (Healthcare)

Location: Permanent work from home; Pacific Time schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

What you will do

• Schedule, modify, confirm, and cancel patient appointments across multiple pain management clinic locations in California.
• Handle inbound calls about appointment status, medication status, and prescription inquiries.
• Provide compassionate, patient-focused support for care-related concerns.
• Manage a high-volume call flow of approximately 400–500 calls per day as part of a dedicated team.
• Maintain accurate patient records and appointment scheduling information in relevant systems.
• Coordinate scheduling between clinic locations to improve appointment availability.

Requirements

• Professional written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.
• Previous medical-field experience, including phone support, authorization processing, or other healthcare-related work.
• Required experience with EMR systems, appointment scheduling, and customer service protocols.
• Professional phone manner with empathy and a patient-focused approach.
• Ability to remain calm and accurate in high-volume call environments and respond constructively to feedback.
• Ability to work Pacific Time hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with ECW (eClinicalWorks).
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
