Senior Software Developer II (Product Security Access Management)

Location: Remote within Canada; Bedford, Edmonton, Calgary, Markham, Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, Nova Scotia, Ontario, British Columbia, or Alberta. Some travel may be required based on business demand.

Salary: CAD 129,900–179,900 per year on a full-time schedule.

What you will do

• Design and implement access management primitives for users and service accounts.
• Build scalable authorization methods, including RBAC, ABAC, and other security policies.
• Drive projects independently from execution through production deployment, emphasizing quality and customer impact.
• Troubleshoot complex cross-cloud issues, perform root cause analysis, and improve operations.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code aligned with team standards and security best practices.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and other cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant software, product, or security engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems design and development.
• Experience building and operating large-scale systems in the cloud.
• Understanding of systems operations, including disks, networks, and operating systems.
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, C/C++, Go, or another statically typed language. Must be able to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience across both frontend and backend stacks.
• Experience with security, identity, and access management.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Interest in presenting at technology conferences or writing about IAM and security concepts.
