Engineering Technician II (Semiconductor)

Salary: $21.50–$29.20 per hour

What you will do

• Perform routine to moderately complex electro-mechanical design, testing, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems and subsystems at both system and component levels.
• Support new system and NPI installations, field upgrades, mechanical and electrical rework, and quality notifications.
• Perform pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on semiconductor manufacturing platforms according to engineering and manufacturing documentation.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, plans, and written or verbal technical descriptions.
• Maintain logbooks and test-procedure documentation while following safety, security, and operating procedures.

Requirements

• Analytical skills and the ability to apply scientific methods to technical activities.
• Ability to recognize and solve typical problems using established procedures and scientific methods.
• Ability to read and work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, and plans.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for technical information exchange and documentation.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, use required protective equipment, and maintain a clean and secure work environment.
• Must be available for the second shift in Austin, Texas; relocation is not eligible for this role.
