TL;DR
Manufacturing Technician (Cesium Beam Tube Testing) (Electronics/Product Testing): Performing production testing of cesium beam tube assemblies used in atomic clocks with an accent on functional verification, specialized measurement equipment, and accurate test documentation. Focus on troubleshooting test failures, maintaining calibration, interpreting measurements across extreme values, and meeting quality and safety requirements.

Location: Beverly, Massachusetts, United States; onsite manufacturing role. Applicants must provide proof of US citizenship, permanent US residency, or protected-individual status under U.S. export-control requirements.

Hourly pay: $20.50–$35.00 USD, depending on location, skills, and experience.

What you will do

  • Perform functional and performance testing of 5071 and 7610 cesium beam tube assemblies.
  • Set up, operate, and monitor production test equipment, fixtures, and laboratory instrumentation.
  • Record, analyze, and document test results in production records and electronic systems.
  • Identify failures and anomalies, report issues, and assist with troubleshooting products and test equipment.
  • Perform routine calibration checks and basic maintenance of test equipment.
  • Follow manufacturing, quality, safety, and 6S standards while collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams.

Requirements

  • Formal electronics training through a technical school, vocational or military program, or recognized electronics certificate program.
  • Understanding of voltage, current, resistance, and analog circuit behavior.
  • Ability to read technical documentation, schematics, and detailed test procedures.
  • Experience using multimeters, electrometers, power supplies, or similar electronic test and measurement equipment.
  • Ability to work safely with high-voltage equipment and accurately interpret scientific notation and test data.
  • Strong computer, data-entry, documentation, and MS Office skills.

Nice to have

  • Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with legacy or analog electronic equipment.
  • Experience operating or troubleshooting laboratory equipment in manufacturing or research environments.
