Engineering Technician (Semiconductor Vacuum Equipment)

Salary: $74,337–$97,812 per year, plus bonus opportunity

What you will do

• Set up, install, and perform preventive maintenance on advanced wafer-processing and vacuum-based equipment.
• Support new product introduction, design verification, system validation, testing, modification, fabrication, and assembly of electromechanical and vacuum subsystems.
• Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, P&IDs, and procedures during equipment setup, testing, troubleshooting, and recovery.
• Diagnose system performance issues using electrical, optical, mechanical, and vacuum test equipment.
• Develop, execute, and document experimental test plans while collecting and analyzing validation data.
• Collaborate with development, process, manufacturing, quality, and program teams to resolve integration issues, supplier concerns, and manufacturing escalations.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of hands-on experience as an equipment technician in an engineering-related field.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing, NPI, or process development environments, preferably involving semiconductor equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with complex electromechanical, vacuum, and control systems.
• Ability to read and apply technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and procedures.
• Associate degree or higher in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering technology, or a related technical field is preferred; equivalent technical training or military experience may be considered.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime or weekends when required by project milestones.
