Manager of Medical Economics (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Nashville, Tennessee, or remote within the United States with the ability to work ET or CT hours

What you will do

• Own clinical impact reporting, including the infrastructure, methodology, and narratives used to demonstrate program effectiveness.
• Build and maintain SQL-based analytics processes and dashboards across medical claims, pharmacy claims, enrollment, and attribution data.
• Analyze total cost of care, avoidable inpatient utilization, utilization trends, clinical effectiveness, medication adherence, and economic efficiency.
• Translate complex health economics findings into clear recommendations for senior executives, payers, partners, and clinical leadership.
• Scale the Medical Economics team, analytical platform, systems, and processes as the value-based contract portfolio grows.
• Audit the existing data landscape, identify gaps, prioritize improvements, and deliver cohort efficacy reporting for Transitions of Care and Medication Adherence.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in medical economics, health economics, analytics, or actuarial work.
• Fluency with value-based care metrics, including TCOC, avoidable inpatient utilization, utilization benchmarks, quality measures, medication adherence, and economic efficiency indicators.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and PowerPoint, with comfort using AI prompting tools such as Claude.
• Familiarity with CMS value-based care models such as MSSP and REACH, CMS-HCC risk adjustment, and CMS quality scores.
• Ability to own analytical work end-to-end, work with ambiguous or messy data, and communicate findings to senior executives.
• Bachelor’s degree in health economics, public health, biostatistics, or a related field.
