Engineering Technician III (Electro-Mechanical)

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota, United States; regular travel between Bloomington and Chaska facilities. Hybrid flexibility is available part of the time.

Salary: $32–$36 per hour, dependent on overall skills and experience.

What you will do

• Conduct engineering lab testing of electro-mechanical assemblies, components, and prototype equipment.
• Assemble, wire, modify, and troubleshoot prototypes, harnesses, sensors, and test fixtures.
• Perform electrical diagnostics using multimeters, oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, and monitoring equipment.
• Document test setups, observations, data, results, and technical procedures.
• Support engineering investigations, prototype builds, design verification testing, and product evaluations.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and operations teams while maintaining a safe and compliant lab environment.

Requirements

• Associate degree, technical diploma, military technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical, electro-mechanical, automation, controls, instrumentation, or a related field.
• Experience in an engineering lab, product development, manufacturing engineering, testing, maintenance, automation, or electro-mechanical troubleshooting environment.
• Strong ability to wire, assemble, modify, and troubleshoot systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, and work instructions.
• Working knowledge of sensors, switches, relays, actuators, motors, power supplies, control panels, PLC or embedded controller interfaces, and basic control logic.
• Ability to use electrical measurement equipment and software tools for equipment operation, test monitoring, data logging, diagnostics, or analysis.
