Senior Delivery Manager (FinTech)

Location: Remote anywhere in the continental US, or from corporate locations in Utah, Arizona, or Colorado

What you will do

• Maintain delivery visibility across dependency-heavy software initiatives by tracking blockers, integration risks, scope changes, capacity constraints, and recovery options.
• Improve backlog readiness, delivery operating norms, and risk-management practices to reduce rework, carryover, and execution variability.
• Influence engineers, Product Managers, Project Managers, and stakeholders through structured options, delivery metrics, and clear communication.
• Coordinate release schedules and dependencies across engineering, QE, architecture, platform, and dependent teams.
• Manage Kanban-based service-oriented work, including intake, triage, WIP, queue depth, lead time, cycle time, and throughput.
• Manage sprint cadence and iteration health, including readiness standards, scope pressure, commitment reliability, retrospectives, and cross-sprint dependencies.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of delivery management experience embedded in software engineering teams, preferably in FinTech or a similarly regulated and technically complex environment.
• Strong SDLC knowledge covering integration complexity, API dependencies, release management, dependency modeling, and cross-team coordination.
• Experience building or materially improving delivery systems and using delivery or flow metrics to improve predictability and throughput.
• Strong working knowledge of Jira for dependency tracking, delivery modeling, and operational insight.
• Experience managing Kanban-based teams in service-oriented or platform engineering environments.
• Demonstrated use of AI-assisted tooling, with the judgment to review AI-generated output before sharing it with stakeholders; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience managing sprint-based teams, enforcing Definition of Ready, and maintaining iteration health.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, deployment infrastructure, or cloud services.
• Experience coordinating iterative and continuous-flow teams in the same organization.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar change-management tooling.
• Agile, Scrum, or Kanban certification, or experience supporting distributed engineering teams.
