Sr Director, Programs (Defense Manufacturing)

Location: Remote within the United States, with expected travel of 30%–50% to EMS sites

Salary: $225,000–$250,000 per year plus bonus

hirify.global’s EMS Division provides pumps, valves, steam turbines, air compressors, motors, generators, and reactor coolant pump technologies for U.S. Navy nuclear vessels and commercial nuclear power plants.

What you will do

• Provide strategic oversight and guidance to program management teams delivering new and upgraded products.
• Monitor programs from initiation through delivery, coordinating cross-functional activities, schedules, and budgets.
• Develop and implement program management strategies aligned with organizational goals and long-term sustainability.
• Build stakeholder relationships and advise leadership on program management practices and performance metrics.
• Define and analyze KPIs, provide recommendations for continuous improvement, and lead post-project evaluations.
• Identify program risks, implement mitigation strategies, and oversee strategic resource planning and allocation.

Requirements

• Extensive experience managing large-scale, complex defense programs, including strategic impact, risk management, financial optimization, and resource optimization.
• Proven ability to lead diverse program teams and foster high performance and collaboration.
• Experience implementing best practices and processes that improve program performance, productivity, predictability, and operational effectiveness.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced knowledge of project management software and Microsoft Office.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
