Associate Director, Project & Program Management (Product)

Location: Hybrid in New York City, NY; employees meet in the closest office eight days per month within 50 miles. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Salary: $133,400–$238,400 USD annually, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead and develop Project and Program Managers while advancing PMO operating models, standards, methodologies, playbooks, tools, training, and governance.
• Oversee strategic product portfolios, ensuring alignment with business priorities, capacity constraints, approved frameworks, and investment objectives.
• Monitor portfolio health, delivery performance, risks, dependencies, resource utilization, scope, schedule, budget, quality, and value realization.
• Partner with business, technology, product, finance, and executive leaders on prioritization, resource allocation, governance forums, and decision-making.
• Facilitate quarterly product planning and reviews, connecting product strategy, outcome-based roadmaps, delivery plans, and resource capacity.
• Support portfolio financial management, including forecasting, budget tracking, capitalization oversight, investment reporting, business cases, and funding recommendations.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressively responsible project and program management experience.
• 5+ years of direct people leadership experience.
• Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional strategic initiatives with significant organizational impact.
• Experience establishing PMO governance, delivery methodologies, and portfolio management processes.
• Experience across the full product development lifecycle, from ideation through go-to-market and customer adoption.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, operations, technology, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience; PMP, ACP, SAFe, or Prosci certification is preferred.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional, Agile Certified Practitioner, SAFe, or Prosci Change Management certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Power BI, Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, MS Project, Clarity, JIRA, or Airtable.
