Prospect Research Analyst (Fundraising)

What you will do

• Research individuals, corporations, and foundations using financial, organizational, public, library, government, and online database sources.
• Analyze biographical, financial, philanthropic, and other information to assess donor capacity and inclination to give.
• Collect, qualify, organize, and update prospect research data in the shared donor data management system.
• Produce accurate, confidential, and detailed donor profiles and reports for fundraising decision-making.
• Perform data mining, wealth screening, target analytics, and predictive statistical modeling for fundraising initiatives.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with internal and external customers while supporting changing priorities across the System Office and Regional Health Ministries.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in fundraising operations or prospect research.
• Bachelor’s degree in fundraising, information and library science, marketing and communications, business administration, health administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of industry-standard research and data analytics tools, including platforms such as ResearchPoint, LexisNexis, CoreLogic, Candid, and related public data sources.
• Familiarity with donor databases and Microsoft applications; Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and Blackbaud CRM are preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing accurate, confidential donor profiles and reports.
• Ability to protect confidential wealth-screening results and comply with HIPAA, fundraising regulations, and Protected Health Information requirements.

Nice to have

• Understanding of the donor solicitation cycle from identification through stewardship.
• Healthcare or higher education fundraising experience.
