IT Business Analyst (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the United States; occasional travel to company offsites or key meetings may be required. Must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Base salary: $70,000–$100,000 annually

What you will do

• Partner with business and clinical stakeholders to understand workflows, pain points, and strategic objectives.
• Lead requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, and cross-functional workshops.
• Translate business and clinical needs into functional requirements, user stories, system documentation, and process maps.
• Optimize and implement enterprise systems including HRIS, CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and healthcare data platforms.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, Engineering, and Product teams on scalable, secure, integrated solutions aligned with HITRUST, HIPAA, and internal governance requirements.
• Evaluate AI tools, support technology acquisitions, conduct vendor risk assessments, and prepare executive reporting on project impact and vendor risk.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, IT Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar professional, with demonstrated experience evaluating, implementing, or operationalizing business technology.
• Experience in healthcare, financial services, or another regulated industry and in compliance environments such as HITRUST, HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, SOX, or FINRA.
• Experience gathering and documenting functional and technical requirements, supporting system implementations, vendor evaluations, or third-party integrations.
• Strong understanding of healthcare data privacy and security, analytical and problem-solving skills, and written and verbal communication.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project environments.

Nice to have

• Healthcare technology, digital health, or regulated SaaS experience.
• Experience in a HITRUST-certified environment or integrating and evaluating AI and automation tools.
• Experience with HRIS, CRM, marketing automation, revenue operations systems, APIs, data mapping, SQL, reporting, or analytics platforms.
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Security+, or CISA.
