Mechanical Cadet Drafter (AutoCAD)

What you will do

• Produce basic mechanical drawings and 2D/3D models using AutoCAD.
• Set up drawing files according to company standards, procedures, and project requirements.
• Extract and apply information from engineering specifications, standards, and supplier documentation.
• Maintain electronic filing systems and document control for project deliverables.
• Support engineers and senior designers with drafting and design tasks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while following quality, safety, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain Baseline Security Clearance.
• Current study or completion of a Certificate IV, Diploma, or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Design and Drafting, or a related discipline.
• Some experience using AutoCAD software.
• Strong interest in mechanical design and the practical application of technology.
• Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
