Senior Structural & Platework Detailer (Autodesk Advance Steel)

Location: Permanent work from home. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Australian Western Standard Time, with a one-hour unpaid break; 40 work hours per week. The job listing references Perth, WA for the work schedule and timezone.

hirify.global is hiring for a fast-growing startup working on heavy industrial structures and mining platework fabrication.

What you will do

• Create accurate 3D models, shop drawings, and erection drawings for heavy industrial steel and mining platework.
• Detail chutes, bins, hoppers, conveyors, and launders with allowances for wear liners, material flow, and fabrication tolerances.
• Generate and verify Bills of Materials, NC files, and DXF files for CNC fabrication.
• Review engineering drawings, resolve missing information and design clashes, and improve manufacturability.
• Collaborate with the fabrication shop floor to troubleshoot issues and optimize designs.
• Lead the shop detailing function and establish scalable detailing standards and workflows.

Requirements

• Expert-level Autodesk Advance Steel experience as the primary detailing tool.
• Strong AutoCAD 2D/3D skills.
• At least 5 years of shop detailing experience, primarily in mining platework such as chutes, hoppers, materials handling equipment, and launders.
• Proven application of Australian Standards, including AS4100 and AS1554.
• Mechanical or structural engineering qualification, diploma, degree, or equivalent trade qualification.
• Deep knowledge of welding symbols, fabrication processes, and international steel detailing standards.
