Corporate Development Associate (AI/SaaS)

Location: Menlo Park, California, United States (hybrid)

Salary: $90,900–$159,900 annual base compensation; commission or performance-based bonus may also be available.

What you will do

• Conduct competitive intelligence, industry mapping, and market research to identify strategic opportunities and potential investments or acquisitions.
• Source and evaluate acquisition targets against investment theses, strategic priorities, market dynamics, and value-creation opportunities.
• Build qualitative and quantitative analyses, financial models, and business cases for investment and transaction decisions.
• Support buy-side M&A execution by coordinating due diligence, synthesizing findings, and aligning internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare executive-level analyses and presentations covering strategic opportunities, transaction considerations, and key risks.
• Support integration knowledge transfer, minority investments, sell-side projects, partnerships, and the use of AI tools in corporate development workflows.

Requirements

• 1–4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting, transaction services, corporate development, or strategic finance.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and executive presentation development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, and tight deadlines.
• Professional maturity, sound judgment, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to work with senior leaders and multiple stakeholders.
• Proactive, self-directed ownership of multiple workstreams and deliverables.

Nice to have

• Completion of an analyst program in investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting, or transaction services.
• M&A transaction experience or meaningful exposure to deal execution and due diligence.
• Experience in enterprise software, SaaS, customer experience technology, AI-enabled software, or adjacent technology markets.
