Investment Analyst, Corporate Development (M&A)

Location: New York, NY, US. Hybrid work is required, with a minimum of three days in the office each week; full-time onsite work is also available. The position is not eligible for full-time teleworking and visa sponsorship is not available.

Estimated base salary: $136,000–$204,000 per year, excluding other compensation components.

What you will do

• Evaluate investment and strategic M&A opportunities, including strategic fit, risks, financial analysis, valuation, and returns.
• Execute transactions through due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and documentation.
• Partner with Business Unit leaders and internal and external stakeholders on transaction evaluation and execution.
• Support value creation initiatives for portfolio companies and engage with company managers.
• Prepare materials for executive decision-making, including Corporate Development Investment Committee and Group Executive materials.
• Monitor trends and developments across the insurance and reinsurance sectors.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant full-time experience in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or another transaction-focused analytical environment.
• Strong analytical ability, financial acumen, and financial modeling skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a corporate environment.
• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Insurance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in insurance or reinsurance, financial services M&A, or direct investing.
• Working proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese.
