Asset Protection Operations Coach (Retail)

Location: Onsite at 355 54th Street SW, Wyoming, Michigan 49548, United States

Salary: $65,000–$100,000 annual base salary, plus potential annual or quarterly performance bonuses and applicable regional or state pay differentials.

What you will do

• Lead asset protection, loss prevention, safety, claims, receiving, and inventory-control activities for the facility.
• Investigate suspected fraud, policy violations, and other illegal activities; gather evidence, take statements, prepare case reports, and provide courtroom testimony when required.
• Review inventory variances, conduct operational and pre-inventory reviews, audit results, identify control gaps, and implement corrective actions.
• Train managers and associates on operational controls, safety, asset protection, claims, receiving, and compliance procedures.
• Supervise, hire, train, mentor, recognize, and develop hourly associates while building accountability and supporting staffing needs.
• Improve merchandise presentation, customer service, safety performance, and store profitability through action plans and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Completion of two years of college, or one year of supervisory experience in a multi-department environment.
• Alternatively, one year of experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection in a multi-department environment.
• Alternatively, two years of experience in asset protection or a related area.
• Successful completion of applicable state requirements for asset protection work, including any required age, training, certification, or licensing requirements.
• Current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility, criminal background check, and firearms-authorized training may be required where applicable.
• Successful completion of all job-required training and assessments.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Criminal Justice.
• Business management and leadership education or certification through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
• Asset protection certification, such as Loss Prevention Qualified or Loss Prevention Certified.
• Experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and termination responsibilities.
• Investigative experience.
