Manufacturing Technician 2 (3D Printing)

Location: On-site in Fremont, California for the first 6–8 months, then based in Livermore, California. Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., with occasional overtime. Travel of approximately 10–15% is required, including trips of up to one week for machine installations within the United States.

What you will do

• Assemble critical system components with high precision and consistent quality.
• Test component performance using advanced metrology equipment.
• Inspect materials and parts for defects and non-conformance.
• Maintain detailed testing records and ensure required materials and subcomponents are available.
• Escalate issues, suggest quality improvements, and coordinate with manufacturing and shipping teams.
• Develop operational and system bring-up skills with the print shop and engineering teams, and support machine installations.

Requirements

• At least three years of formal or informal hands-on experience with mechanical systems and components.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records.
• Motivation to identify problems and implement quality-improvement techniques.
• Forklift experience, strong work ethic, and accountability for mistakes.
• Ability to work on-site in Fremont and Livermore, lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and wear required personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience with metrology equipment or specialized machinery.
