Additive Manufacturing Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States; second shift, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.

Salary: $23–$58 USD per hour

What you will do

• Set up additive manufacturing print jobs, verify machine settings, monitor builds, and recover paused builds when necessary.
• Handle metal powder safely, including sieving, loading, depowdering, measuring, and storage.
• Operate post-processing equipment such as drills, handheld grinders, and CNC machines.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot manufacturing hardware, and document build, test, and maintenance activities.
• Conduct independent verifications, record results precisely, and support process efficiency improvements.
• Support rapid iteration, development testing, cross-functional collaboration, training, and continuous improvement of safety and test processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing or similar industry experience.
• Comfort working with hand tools and basic measurement equipment while following detailed procedures safely.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Must be a U.S. person under U.S. export-control regulations or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing; eligible statuses include U.S. citizenship, U.S. nationality, lawful permanent residency, or granted asylee or refugee status.
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends for critical mission milestones.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of additive manufacturing or similar experience.
• Experience with metal powders and aerospace or defense manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, engineering documentation, work instructions, and parts lists.
• Strong communication skills and initiative in collaborative manufacturing environments.
