PBF Printer Technician II (Additive Manufacturing)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States. First-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT, with a 50-hour workweek including 10 guaranteed overtime hours weekly.

Hiring range: $27.20–$40.80 USD per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

What you will do

• Set up, operate, and monitor powder bed fusion printers, depowdering machinery, and supporting equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and rework of PBF equipment and parts.
• Inspect printed parts for dimensional accuracy, defects, and surface quality.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of production and maintenance work.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop and implement new printing processes.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience operating PBF printers or working with other additive manufacturing technologies.
• Proficiency operating PBF printers and support equipment such as EOS, AMCM, Velo3D, and Solukons.
• Understanding of various powder bed fusion printing processes and experience inspecting parts for defects and dimensional accuracy.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, maintain accurate records, and troubleshoot PBF printing issues.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high-quality parts.

Nice to have

• At least 3 years of experience as a Powder Bed Fusion Technician.
• Associate degree in Advanced Manufacturing Technology or an equivalent qualification.
• Certification in PBF operation or maintenance.
• Experience with CAD software or programming PBF printers.
