Licensed Customer Service Rep - Petoskey, MI (Insurance)

Location: On-site in Petoskey, Michigan, United States. Schedule is Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM, with rotational Saturday hours; irregular hours may include weekends, holidays, and community events.

Starting pay: $23.00–$25.50 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Support members with insurance policy questions, product features, billing, coverage, renewals, and complaints.
• Process applications, policy changes, endorsements, amendments, transfers, reinstatements, cancellations, and other insurance transactions.
• Prepare quotes, apply underwriting rules and eligible discounts, complete sales, and identify cross-sell and referral opportunities.
• Process insurance and membership payments, conduct retention calls, and contact members about delinquent premiums, renewals, and reinstatements.
• Maintain accurate member records and filing systems while providing agency and office support.
• Participate in office events and local community activities that promote insurance, membership, and financial products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Property & Casualty Insurance license.
• Ability to qualify for, obtain, and maintain required state licenses and appointments.
• Experience providing customer service, explaining billing and coverage information, processing transactions, and supporting insurance sales.
• Knowledge of insurance terminology, regulations, underwriting procedures, compliance guidelines, and monetary calculations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, perform outbound calls, and complete required Customer Service, Insurance, and Membership training within six months of hire.
