What you will do

• Lead and contribute to landscape architecture projects for land development and municipal engineering initiatives.
• Prepare conceptual and detailed landscape plans covering planting, hardscapes, grading, stormwater management, and irrigation.
• Collaborate with engineers, urban planners, surveyors, environmental specialists, clients, stakeholders, and government agencies.
• Conduct site analysis and process plats, easements, right-of-way abandonments, dedications, site plan modifications, and land development permits.
• Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and project timelines while ensuring compliance with environmental, zoning, and other regulations.
• Support construction administration through site visits, contractor coordination, public meetings, and quality oversight.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program.
• Registered Landscape Architect in Florida, or ability to obtain Florida licensure.
• At least 5 years of landscape architecture experience, preferably involving municipal projects, abandonments, and dedications.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS, and Adobe Creative Suite; Civil 3D experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Florida native plants, South Florida regulations and codes, environmental regulations, low-impact development, and green infrastructure.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for site visits and meetings.

Nice to have

• Experience with municipal clients and public-sector projects.
• LEED or SITES certification.
• Experience with Civil 3D.
