Designer II (Electrical Design)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States; hybrid office and power station environment with occasional site visits, overnight stays, and travel of up to 50%

Pay range: $50–$56

What you will do

• Prepare and review electrical drawings for non-nuclear power generation engineering and construction projects.
• Provide electrical design support for equipment, cables, raceways, and drawing documentation.
• Coordinate site visits and perform fieldwork as required.
• Support project management and construction groups by coordinating design deliverables.
• Review peer, vendor, and Architect/Engineer drawing submittals and provide feedback.
• Maintain drawing records in line with corporate and compliance policies.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant power generation industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering design and drafting principles.
• Knowledge of applicable regulations, codes, and standards, including NEC, IEEE, and NERC.
• Strong MicroStation and AutoCAD skills.
• Experience with drawing and document management systems; ProjectWise and Documentum preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; a technology-related bachelor's degree is preferred.
