What you will do

• Perform field walkdowns and site surveys to verify IC&E installations.
• Execute as-built reconciliation by incorporating field-verified conditions into engineering documents.
• Maintain Smart Instrumentation (SI) databases, including instrument indexes and loop modules.
• Create and revise AutoCAD drawings such as electrical one-lines, wiring diagrams, and motor schematics.
• Support Management of Change (MOC) implementation through detailed design updates.
• Coordinate with engineers and operations stakeholders to resolve discrepancies in documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of industrial IC&E design or drafting experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Smart Instrumentation (SI), SPI, or INtools.
• Experience performing field verification and generating as-built documentation.
• Ability to work in operating industrial facilities (brownfield environments).
• High School Diploma or GED with technical coursework in instrumentation or electrical design.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Geismar, LA or Ames, IA

Nice to have

• Associate Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Technology or Drafting & Design.
• 10+ years of industrial IC&E design experience.
• Experience in PSM-covered facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, or petrochemical facilities.
• Strong understanding of brownfield facility modifications and upgrades.
