Senior Electrical Project Designer

Location: Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, United States; site visits and inspections required, with approximately 10% travel.

Salary: $45/hour minimum, negotiable based on experience, skills, certifications, and location.

What you will do

• Lead electrical design for complex Oil & Gas, Industrial, and Water/Wastewater projects.
• Design branch circuit layouts, panel schedules, grounding plans, electrical area classification plans, and power distribution systems.
• Prepare engineering drawings and perform drafting and design using AutoCAD.
• Lead and mentor design teams and review sketches, drawings, specifications, and project deliverables.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, suppliers, engineers, technical leaders, and designers.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources while providing technical problem-solving support.

Requirements

• Associate or engineering degree.
• 7+ years of relevant electrical design experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Experience with voltage drop calculations and electrical cable sizing.
• Proficiency in NEC codes and design standards.
• Ability to work independently and specify portions of engineering systems based on prior experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Revit or Plant 3D.
• Experience with ETAP and/or SKM Power Analysis software.
