TL;DR

Focus on solving pre-production pattern and construction issues, managing 2D/3D design assets and PLM workflows, and developing a high-performing technical design team.

What you will do

  • Lead the technical design team responsible for pre-production pattern development, technical construction specifications, and materials finalization.
  • Coordinate seasonal development timelines and ensure accurate, on-time handoffs to production technical design teams, manufacturing offices, and vendor suppliers.
  • Manage product changes from Design and Merchandising and maintain accurate workflows and information in relevant systems.
  • Develop fit blocks, maintain the core fit library, and manage 2D and 3D pattern design assets.
  • Create and maintain technical construction, materials, labeling, packaging, and folding documentation.
  • Resolve pattern, construction, quality, finishing, materials, and systems issues while improving processes and training team members.

Requirements

  • Extensive apparel manufacturing experience with strong knowledge of pattern making, technical product development, systems development, sourcing, or operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of end-to-end product manufacturing processes.
  • Experience managing teams and motivating high-performing, results-driven groups.
  • High proficiency with Illustrator and Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint, Teams, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, networking, and problem-solving skills.
  • A bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred; experience with women’s denim and multiple apparel categories is an advantage.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Gerber AccuMark 2D Pattern Software.
  • Experience with Browzwear VStitcher 3D Pattern Software.
  • PLM experience, especially implementation experience.
  • Project management skills and knowledge of women’s denim, bottoms, tops, outerwear, sweaters, wovens, or knits.
