Director, AI Enablement (Generative AI)

Location: Chicago, Illinois, USA; eligible for hire in select U.S. locations

Salary: USD 104,030–150,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the strategy, design, and execution of onboarding, learning, and adoption initiatives for an AI-powered agency platform.
• Design end-to-end onboarding journeys for internal and client users, from platform orientation through sustained adoption.
• Develop and facilitate live and virtual training, including facilitator guides, playbooks, job aids, videos, knowledge bases, and interactive eLearning.
• Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks for onboarding effectiveness, platform adoption, feature utilization, proficiency, and business impact.
• Lead platform champions and create content governance processes that keep enablement materials current through frequent platform releases.
• Identify adoption barriers and training gaps, build an enablement roadmap, and use user feedback to influence platform enhancements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building training, onboarding, or enablement programs for rapidly evolving enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Track record of delivering training and enablement for both internal users and clients.
• Ability to tailor content for audiences with different functional backgrounds and levels of AI experience.
• Experience with instructional design, modern learning authoring and delivery tools, learning analytics, platform usage data, and user feedback.
• Strong understanding of generative AI concepts, prompt engineering fundamentals, AI-assisted workflows, and responsible AI practices.
• Ability to facilitate demos, hands-on exercises, and interactive discussions, including real-time troubleshooting and debugging.

Nice to have

• Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare environments.
• Experience in a marketing, advertising, digital, or consulting agency supporting multiple client engagements.
• Experience communicating with senior executives, client stakeholders, and end users.
• Active hands-on use of AI tools to build workflows, test outputs, and solve practical problems.
• Ability to demonstrate working AI solutions rather than only presenting concepts.
