Director, AI Engineering & Delivery

Location: Edina, Minnesota, United States. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Estimated hiring range: $117,600–$206,000 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead delivery of AI-powered applications, LLM-enabled workflows, agentic orchestration solutions, automation capabilities, and platform integrations.
• Manage engineering execution, including sprint delivery, backlogs, dependencies, issue resolution, operational planning, and delivery continuity.
• Implement AI software development lifecycle practices, deployment standards, observability, release management, quality practices, and production support.
• Develop reusable AI engineering patterns, playbooks, shared services, templates, libraries, and delivery accelerators.
• Partner with governance, architecture, automation, quality engineering, and AI delivery teams to implement responsible AI controls and secure delivery practices.
• Lead and develop engineering managers, architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors while communicating risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to business and technical leaders.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of experience in software engineering, AI application engineering, engineering delivery, platform engineering, or enterprise technology.
• Three or more years leading engineering teams, delivery organizations, or large-scale technology initiatives.
• Experience leading distributed teams and coordinating contractors or vendors in complex operational environments.
• Hands-on experience designing, delivering, and operationalizing production AI solutions using LLMs, APIs, agentic workflows, orchestration frameworks, and modern AI engineering patterns.
• Experience scaling engineering operating models, AI delivery frameworks, agile delivery ecosystems, or enterprise engineering practices.
• United States work authorization without sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms, data integration, DevOps, automation frameworks, and modern software engineering tools.
• Healthcare or other regulated-environment experience, including familiarity with HIPAA, SOC 2, or regulated data environments.
• Knowledge of responsible AI, governance, human oversight, model monitoring, operational risk, AI security, evaluation pipelines, and agentic frameworks.
