Senior Accountant (AI)

Location: New York, New York, United States; office-first model with on-site work required at least four days per week

Salary: $105,000–$115,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Own key areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process and ensure accurate US GAAP reporting.
• Prepare complex journal entries, technical accounting analyses, balance sheet reconciliations, audit workpapers, disclosures, and rollforwards.
• Support annual financial audits as the primary liaison with external auditors.
• Design and implement SOX-ready internal controls to improve reporting and reduce risk.
• Research complex transactions, including ASC 606, ASC 842, and ASC 360, and draft technical accounting memos.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Operations, Engineering, Legal, and Tax on contracts, capital expenditures, variance analysis, and accounting treatment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2–3 years in national public accounting.
• Active CPA license or CPA candidacy.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606 and ASC 842, and internal control frameworks.
• Experience managing full-cycle audits, preparing complex workpapers, and working directly with audit partners and clients.
• Proficiency with modern ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP, plus advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
